Newsletter February 2017

This Term we are talking about Growing and Planting.

During the next 6 weeks we will be very busy planting and making our garden look pretty.

Don't Forget...

If your child does anything at home and you would like us to celebrate it, please fill in a wow!

To check out the parent information board, as we update this weekly.

We will be doing lots of gardening and outside activities, please keep this in mind when dressing your children for school.

Special Events/Activities/News

We are very excited and proud to announce that we have recently had an OFSTED inspection and they have rated us as GOOD.  We have provided a paper copy of this report, please see Fiona if you haven't received one.  Alternatively it is available on the website, here.

3 Year Old Funding

We will be taking part in 30 hour funding for 3 and 4 year old's in APRIL 2017.  PLEASE COME AND SEE FIONA IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.

Staff Changes

This term we say goodbye to our admin Gemma.  All the staff and committee would like to thank Gemma for all her hard work over the past year.  Gemma will be replaced by Ann-Marie, who will be starting with us after the February half term.  If you have any questions please pop in and see Fiona.

World Book Day, 2nd and 3rd of March 2017

We will be taking part in World Book Day, the event will be running over 2 days on the 2nd/3rd of March to ensure all the children are able to take part.  We ask that they dress up in something from their favourite book and bring in a donation.  Could they also bring in their favourite books from home, so we can read them all together at circle time.  Please ensure any books from home are clearly labelled.  Money raised for this event will go to Crackerjack, a children's trust who help families and carers throughout the UK that have a disability.  The money raised will be used to buy specialist equipment and pay for respite breaks.

Tapestry is working really well as a link for parent communication.  Please comment on your child's observations/photographs as we love to hear from you.  Key workers are available if you would like to talk to them about your child's progress.

Just a little request...

Could your child please bring in a baby photo of themselves with their name on the back?

Please may we remind parents to bring in a piece of fruit per session or donation to provide your child with a healthy snack at break time.
